Some people liken marriage to being locked in a prison. Well, imagine the possibilities when two inmates tie the knot while they are actually locked up. Guards at an Edmonton prison predicted no good would come from the institution’s first lesbian marriage, and they’ve been proven correct. So violent are the marital spats that 14 of the unit’s 15 guards want to be transferred. As one of them stated, “I come to work to get away from this kind of thing.”
